Additional Services and Fees.

We offer a range of additional services, which are sometimes included within our main advice fee or provided as standalone options, typically when a full advice process isn't required or when clients have more complex needs.

Financial Plan Only.

This service offers an opportunity for those looking to familiarise themselves with how we work, gain confidence in our trustworthiness, and determine whether we are the right firm to partner with. It is especially valuable during major life transitions, such as retirement planning, divorce, estate planning, or considering long-term care costs.

This service follows a fixed fee structure, as outlined below.

Type Fixed Initial Fee Annual Service Monthly Service Cost
Low Complexity £1,250 £1,020 £85
Medium Complexity £2,000 £1,800 £150
High Complexity £3,000 £2,760 £230

Low Complexity. Typically involves 1 to 2 existing financial arrangements, such as mainstream investment products like ISAs, taxable savings accounts, and personal pensions.

Medium Complexity. This includes everything within a Low Complexity case, but might also incorporate additional elements such as onshore and offshore bonds and potentially more involved tax considerations.

High Complexity. Usually involves trust arrangements, final salary (defined benefit) pension schemes, direct equity holdings, and more intricate family financial structures, often with multiple parties or generations involved.

Inheritance Tax Planning Products and Complex Investments.

For advice related to complex areas of inheritance tax (IHT) planning and investments that qualify for Business Relief (BR), our initial fee is 3%, reflecting the additional research and enhanced due diligence required.

Specialist Advice Service.

A fee outside our standard charges may apply; however, this will always be agreed upon in advance and will solely reflect the additional work required.

Protection Policies.

Our minimum fee for protection-only business is £750. If the commission we receive from the provider is less than £750, we will invoice you for the difference. Any fee or commission received for protection policies is separate from adviser charges related to investment advice.

Flexible, Hourly-Based Advice for Specific Needs.

Some clients prefer to pay on an hourly basis, particularly those who favour a pay-as-you-go arrangement or whose assets may not meet the minimum threshold for our ongoing advisory services. An hourly rate can also be appropriate when the work involved doesn’t fall neatly into a specific service category.

Our hourly rate is typically £195 per hour.
